The AARP is losing membership to the more conservative ASA. Do you know why? Because hundreds of billions of dollars of medicare money will be cut to help fund nationalized health care. The people protesting want free markets to work with healthcare. We don’t need more legislation and a 1 billion dollar bill. It’s naive to think we won’t see more taxes. And if you want to ensure the working poor, give them tax credits. You don’t have to change the entire system.
Oh, The GOP version does something all right … It makes provisions for the insurers but not the insured and even worse does NOTHING for the uninsured.
