Marco Rubio on US-CUBA relations
The four top candidates in the race to become Florida’s next US senator met Monday to discuss their thoughts on the issue of US-Cuba relations. Gov. Charlie Crist, GOP challenger Marco Rubio, Democratic candidates US Rep. Kendrick Meek and former Miami Mayor Maurice Ferre each took turns addressing members of the nation’s most powerful Cuba lobby, the US-Cuba Democracy PAC, on Monday at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. The event was the first since the Senate campaign began that all attended simultaneously. to: poncewattle — yeah, you don’t know because he hides what he doesn’t want you to know, just like he does with illegal immigration and HIS SUPPORT OF AMNESTY! Google “Marco Rubio illegal immigration” and see the multitude of artlcles on his stance. The Miami Herald did several pieces on it. He’s also a TRIAL ATTORNEY, but you don’t see him going around telling people that. What we don’t hear is sometimes more important than what they tell us! Pls — everyone, do your own homework!
Marco Rubio is a FRAUD! As the former FL Speaker of the House, he conspired in advance of the legislative session to NOT allow six good illegal immigration bills that would’ve cracked down on illegals like AZ and OK, to not be allowed out of committee, and thus, not being allowed to be voted on on the floor of the House! He is PRO ILLEGAL/PRO AMNESTY!!!!!! Just another phony John McCain pro amnesty RINO! As a FL voter, surely we can do better than Crist AND Rubio!
He did not voice his opinion or ideas about specific policies on Cuba. But, neither did Crist or Meek in their respective videos. All three seem to want to assure the audience that they want Cubans to have freedom like US citizens have.
He was speaking of the founders and their hope that our shining city on a hill, would be emulated, thru-out other countries. Thats Rubios hope for Cuba. That they will heed the USAs spirit of freedom, i.e. self-government, that is representative of the people, and not by an oligarchy or dictatorship.
I listened to that entire thing and I still don’t know what his policy on Cuba is. Can you enlighten me? What is his position about the embargo, or free travel there, or immigration? None of that came up, did it?
Excellent job Mr. Speaker! You have my vote!
