How does Marco Rubio feel about getting his senate seat out of lucking out because of a split vote?
He doesn’t seem like a bad person IMO, so maybe he feels sort of guilty because he didn’t beat Crist by his own merits but because Crist split the liberal vote with Meek? He didn’t even get 50% of the vote.
Or…what do you think?
Most of Crist’s votes were from Democrats. He’d fallen from a conservative rising star who the Democrats were trying to out to a Republican pariah who’d alienated 90% of Republicans attacked on talk radio for instance and who had liberals instead in his corner.
Like Lisa Murkowski, most Democrats were siding with Crist over the Republican nominee.

Rubio pretty much had it won before the primaries were over. Crist split the Republican vote and Rubio still won. Besides Florida is a fairly Conservative state

He beat Crist twice. Once in the primary and again in the general. He got almost 50% of the total vote.
Crist took more away from Rubio than he took away from Meek.
