If you look up “fascist” and “left” you get almost opposite definitions. “fascism” is “a political philosophy… that exalts nation and often race above the individual,” whereas “left” is “those professing… change in the name of the greater freedom or well-being of the common man,” just the opposite.
Your an asshole, and if you had read my comment: No, I don’t want Iran to have nukes. The problem isn’t when people like Bush want to keep nukes away from enemies or terrorists, it’s when people like you deem Middle Eastern countries “terrorist nations.” There is no such thing. It is true that Iran and Pakistan and perhaps other nations harbor extremists that could be construed as “terrorists,” but a nation is a nation. And there’s a big difference between Iran, and, say, Yemen, Egypt, etc.
Iranian nukes obviously would be a national security issue, but because they are our enemies and have openly declared they will threaten us and Israel. Well, Ahmadinejad has, anyway, which is dangerous enough. The important distinction is that people shouldn’t treat nukes like a privilege only Western countries have, but rather a dangerous weapon to keep away from hostile rivals. Terrorists armed with nukes are naturally more dangerous than terrorists without nukes, but nations are different.

Wasn’t anybody else listening? “When should be the trigger (or should there ever be a trigger) when nuclear weapons use is put into play?” WHY CAN’T THE CANDIDATES ANSWER QUESTIONS? GOD DAMNIT. This is such an essential question to the core of their morals, that they both avoid even commenting AT ALL on the actual question. I really wish I knew the actual stances here. Is preemption ever justified? Nukes only as retaliation? Never? What?
No, that’s a really important question. It’s one thing to declare nukes off-limits, but to say only Western countries have the right is extremely dangerous rhetoric. While I do not want ENEMIES to obtain nuclear weapons for obvious reasons, to say that the MIDDLE EAST doesn’t deserve them is racist to the extreme.
