How does Joe Biden embody change?
All campaign long Obama and his group has said he stands for change and then at the last moment he picks a running mate that has been part of party politics for decades and whose views on many subjects are clearly defined because of his success as a chairman on committees and his voting history in Congress. Pretending you are a spin master spin Biden to me as a means towards change.
You have to know where your coming from to know where your going.
You can’t have it both ways. Either you rail on change or experience – pick one.
LMAO…
McCain has a LOT of explaining to do. He needs to help us understand why we should elect a Republican president after 8 years of Republican control nearly wrecked the place.
Of course, maybe he has a decent plan. I wouldn’t know it because he spent the summer bitching about how his opponent is more popular than he is.
He’s a BAD choice right now. His focus is on military, we need economy and energy, which we would have with Obama (and Biden brings in the national security)
Obama/Biden ’08
He does not.
You fear him though, that is enough.
Change the fact that Barack Hussein now has someone on his side who is more qualified than him!
He doesn’t. But they need to get the old white guy vote out. They can now show “experience” on the ticket.
Obama is ForBiden.
Looking at the past of Obama to predict what he might do while is office is scary to say the least.
Many think Obama is too young to have any idea what he’s doing in office. We talked about this in my Government class today. By choosing Biden, they think he’ll provide Obama with the experience that he’s lacking due to his age. He may stand for change, but I think he wants a little extra support from someone who’s “been there, done that.”
Too bad Hillary wasn’t picked, that could have been a pretty good duo if you ask me. We shall see =)
Biden is genuine and he comes with a lifetime of experience in foreign relations. He has GREAT speaking skills and he has been a champion of the middle class. That’s the BEST kind of change. Biden is ahead of his time!!
Because he is one of the few in Washington that will speak his mind. He always has. I always hear Dr.Phil say “you have to own it before you can change it”. Biden will tell you straight up how it is.
Why exactly does the VP have to embody the exact same thing? Obama is the one that stands for it, at the end of the day it is HIM making the decisions, not Biden.
Obama wears the same kind of formal clothing, maybe that’s too consistent to the old ways too…
35 years in the Senate… now dont you think he can change?
As VP Biden won’t be in charge. Unlike 8 years when Bush let Cheney run amok and issue secret policy memos condoning torture.
That’s change enough for most Americans.
The change will be that up to now no one on team Obama has gotten down in the mud with the Repugs, Biden WILL change that.
Biden is everything Obama said was wrong with Washington. That McCain was there for decades. Well so has Biden. No change. And the scary thing is neither one of them know who our enemies are. They are all about debating and discussing with them. Like they can negotiate the last, what 1500 years?
LOL, looks like its damned if you do, damned if you don’t if you’re Obama. If he would have picked another freshman senator for VP you slobbering Limbaugh lickspittles would be singing the “he’s inexperienced and he picked an inexperienced VP, we are doomed” mantra…
Please praise the merits of your man McCain, just once!!! It seems like the only thing you McCain supporters share in common is your hatred of Democrats!
Biden’s role would be to ensure change. In other words, VPs are the movers and shakers. They have an important role as President of the Senate to get legislation passed that would change our country.
Biden disagrees with the Bushian policies, and he wants those policies to change. Makes sense, yes?
Hillary Clinton, being Obama’s rival in the primaries, helped, whether intentional or not, define “experience” as an opposite of change, while it really is not.
