How can Huckabee say that Palin got more votes running for mayor than Joe Biden got running for pres?
Palin got 616 votes in the 1996 mayor’s election, and got 909 in her 1999 re-election race, for a total of 1,525. Biden dropped out of the race after the Iowa caucuses, but he still got 76,165 votes in 23 states and the District of Columbia where he was on the ballot during the 2008 presidential primaries.
He needed to make the minions feel better about the poor choice of VP, so he lied.

It was a blatant lie. Just like many of the things that Palin said in her own speech.
It sounded good for his speech. The truth isn’t important as long as you give your people a little sound bite they can repeat over and over.
Biden got 23 votes in Iowa and then dropped out of the Presidential race. Technically, Palin received more votes; the votes Biden got after he dropped out are not relevant.
I’m not certain but I think he was referring to percentage of the population.
