Do any other conservatives actually agree with Joe Biden on Afghanistan?
I came up with the same plan before Biden. I think we should set up a few attack proof forts around the country,and just launch drone and special forces attacks when we find terrorist training camps.
I don’t think you can nation build in that God-forsaken place! Besides, we don’t have the money.
I don’t think I’ve ever agreed with Biden, but I give credit when due. I think he is right on this one.
So why not just leave?
Con’s like to try to give Reagan credit for ending the cold war with the former Soviet Union. The fact is that their war with Afghanistan bankrupted the country ending their ability to maintain the cold war.

EDIT: Proud Texan, dude, COMMUNISM and the lack of incentive to be productive bankrupted the Soviet Union, not their invasion of Afghanistan, although I’ll concede that it was a contributing factor.

Yes, yes, yes. Just use our technology, NOT OUR HUMAN TROOPS. We have no flippin’ obligation to the world to have to rebuild them all the time. Look how the Europeans treat us after spending blood, death, money and effort rebuilding them. It’s not worth it. Let them dig themselves out of the 40 foot crater we put them in if they continue to be a threat to us.
Yes and no, we need to increase our attacks since the enemy is recruiting faster than we are killing them. But we need the support of the locals since they know the land and see what goes on, if they help the enemy rather than us then were effed. Also on the drones, well thats all well and good if they work. Problem is a lot of times due to whatever reason they malfunction and crash and when they do that means theres a piece of really expensive tech just waiting to be stripped apart by the enemy. Which is really bad considering we arm them with Hellfire missiles, and those things can take out an entire city block.
When I was in Iraq most of our intel came from the locals, and zones that we hated to patrol were the districts where we accidentally dropped a bomb or killed civilians since they were obviously not very amused with that and some were sympathizers and informants to the enemy.
I am not a Republican / conservative but yes I do agree with him.
BTW I will vote for the person rather then then political party first .
