this commentator is incredibly stupid.. The FACTS are that the Quaran itself is proof of the violence of Islam. It isnt a religion that has been hyjacked by extremist because there are no real moderate Muslims unless they do not follow the Quaran’s teachings which by definition would not make them Muslims. Islamic Terrorism is up 1200% since 2000. If it wasn’t, it wouldn’t make the top of the list at all. 20 years ago, when you talked about Terrorism, you were almost universally talking about Latino and Irish terrorism.
So, if you can base a religion on the actions of some followers this decade, why not do it for any other. Christianity was a murderous cult in the 80s but not now?

@belmidi sure those were along time ago but in history we still teach it we have not forgotten about it. people still bare the scars from those events much like the 911 attack so to come up and say “ohh thats in the past” thats ignorant. also i dont pin those events on the islamic faith but more on radicals who twisted the words of islam so their follower felt they were not wrong doing. as many faiths and religious have done in the past and still do today.
yeah you can talk all day about christian violence but that was history. that was a very long long time ago,As i remember it right the late pope john paul do apologized to the world about Christianity’s wrong doings from the past which you muslims never do. yes we christians as a humans know how to apologize to anybody if we commit mistakes.Questions. Do you have any news about recent christian violence? like 911? like train bombing in spain? like bombing in southern Philippines? I guess not.

Its hard for Muslims to put violent image on Christianity because there was no violence for several centuries. Crusader? that was like 11th century to 13th century, which btw was provoked by Islam. And what do World War had anything to do with any religion? Don’t listen to curropt religious leaders, read and understand by yourself or you will get the opinion of another man and not the message of god. Most deaths caused by religion are caused because of this reason.

You forgot to mention Muslims. The amount of stuff Muslims gave to the world is astounding. During the Middle Ages they flourished in science, mathematics, astronomy, architecture and philosophy, while the West sunk in the Dark Ages of Christianity. This knowledge was used as a foundation for the Europeans to progress since about 1300 AD. Without Muslims, there would be no renaissance or any of that.

I believe in Islam, but I also believe in freedom, democracy and liberty. You may or may not know it, but Shi’a Islam explicitly states that a leader must be appointed Divinely and if that’s not the case he must be appointed democratically. Since there is no Divine Leader among us today, like a Prophet, we must adopt democracy according to Islam. And I do not believe that one goes to hell for being non-Muslim (see Surah al-Isra 17:15).

History cannot be changed BUT the future can definitely be changed! For that, your obsession with Islam should drastically reduce just like other religious groups have reduced their obsession!!
