Is Haley Barbour electable?
The governor of my state is considered a possible presidential candidate for 2012. He has a few blemishes in his history, but he’s more sensible than some of the other options. I’m well travelled in the US and I found that in urban areas and certain regions of the country, folks assume that anyone who talks like Governor Barbour must be too stupid, racist, etc, to trust as president. After electing a supposedly intellectual guy that tries to talk sophisticated, does the nation consider the polar opposite (such as Barbour) a reasonable alternative for 2012?
Skin/Deep: You don’t have to hurl insults directly at me, or any other users. You could simply ignore questions that you are tempted to respond to in a degrading manner. Live and let live.
PS: You talk as if you are not an American. If this is the case then the question may not be in your direct interest as much as some other users. Also, Haley Barbour is not Bush. If you lived with the man as your governour then you would understand that. Answers like you gave to this question make you look less intelligent than I hope you are.
he is a decent, honest man but his time has come and gone.
Names to add to your ‘not’ list:::: Bloomberg, McCain, Pence, Bloomberg, Romney, Giuliani(sp), Bloomberg, Huckabee, Thompson, and the fellow from Indiana that many are pushing to the forefront. imo
It’s apparent that he must be electable by your low standards.
It’s not as if the POTUS has completed his term in Office; nor has enough recovery time elapsed after 8 years of the Bush regime, WMD’s and looking for Osama The Boogieman!
Remember when petrol was up over $5 dollars a barrel, and the Bush Adm. promised that the war in Iraq would result in lower prices?
This must be, in the words of Gore Vidal “The United States of Amnesia!”
