If Mississipi Gov. Haley Barbour and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee?
both decide to run for president in 2012, do you think they should team up and one of them run as VP candidate? And who should run in #1 position and who should run in #2?
I like both of them but am more familiar with Mike Huckabee. He’s always been my first choice.
Newsmax.com reports that Barbour is considering a run and Huckabee would want Barbour as campaign manager if he runs.
They will still lose badly no matter who they pick as a challenger in 12. The message that they have is to negative, and Obama has not screwed up enough to win any new people to their side. In fact the GOP has alienated a lot of people that they will need to win in 12 like unions, teachers, and poor people without jobs that might need health care. The poor people might have sided with them on the state of the economy but not on anything else. Plus extending the Bush era Tax cuts is just salt on the wound. Another sticking point will be the number of good republicans that jumped ship to support the Tea Party which is no real party at all just a number of DC wack jobs. The average American does not want to hear how bad the country is doing but how good the future can be.
The Republicans message is just to negative right now. When was the last time you heard a Republican say something good about the country? They have not connected the dots. So how would this country be better if the budget was balanced and how come they did not balance the budget when Bush was in office?
Obama like him or not is one heck of a public speaker. He even makes a down right lie look good. He is energetic and charismatic and his wife will almost be hot when she loses a few more pounds. I saw her jogging on TV the other day.
I highly doubt they would be on the same ticket. One is from Mississippi and one from Arkansas – no way will this happen. One of the candidates will need to be from the NE, I would think to balance the ticket.
Sure, why not?
They’re what America seemingly like.
