So far so good. He comes with fewer distractions than the average candidate. I’m interested. We need more information. We especially need some foreign policy information. He has run a state and apparently done it well, but it looks like we’ll still have Afghanistan and Iraq on the front burners, Iran and North Korea on the back. I want to know what kind of talent he’d bring on board to deal with terrorism and other foreign policy issues that he would inherit. Selection of advisors is !!!!

I would like an American Revolution that supports “Maximize Freedom and Responsibility for the Individual” thats against both forms of “Big Government” Socialist and Conservative. Where Marijuana and other things are Legal with Regulation and where Drug Addicts are treated like Patients and not Criminals.
He sounds great, but who is he? What is his background? Obama sounded great until he got in office. Has he lived the values of a real American? Until I find out more, I’ll wait and see.

I cant wait for him to speak at the Greenville, SC tea Party on April 17th at the BI-Lo Center at 1PM Greenville. Last year we had 10,000 people, this year we expect many more.
I’m a young Libertarian Republican who advocates school vouchers,ending the war on drugs,putting a cap on military spending,making entitlements an opt out,against Iraq and Afghanistan,abolishing unconstitutional goverment departments,for massive government reform,for drilling,for Libertarian healthcare reform,and I’m for just changing things with a new direction.

I understand your point. However, with Palin most of the bad image came from the media’s narrative of her – afterall, in Alaska before the election she had something like an 80% approval rating. So she’s a very likable person. I think by the time people start announcing a run for 2012, her popularity among independents will be higher.
Though if Johnson can get the big, national publicity that is required without someone like Palin, that’ll be a credit to his ability to attract people.

True, although I would hope he doesn’t get publicly endorsed by Sarah Palin… I don’t think that would be a good thing for Gary Johnson’s image. I knew Sarah Palin wasn’t anything good after McCain tried to get Dick Cheney to take her hunting.
I suspect he is, which is very good news. This “Our America” might be some sort of grassroots organization that’ll be the basis for a campaign.
The only problem is that Gary Johnson, although perfect for the presidency, is currently a far less familiar name than the likes of Mitt Romney or Tim Pawlenty. If Johnson could get the support of a big mover-and-shaker in the Republican party, like Sarah Palin, then his name will be instantly recognized everywhere.

I’m of the opinion that the current monetary policy in this country needs to be virtually abolished for small businesses to ever fairly reap the rewards of their hard efforts again. There are only two politicians that I believe have even a snowball’s chance in hell at doing it. Dr. Ron Paul and Gary Johnson. It has been rumored that Dr. Paul will be endorsing Gary Johnson in 2012. I sure hope so.
