Would a White House wedding be the answer to solving the President's negative opinion poll ratings?
Often, our public attention span is fleeting, at best. Do you think that a White House wedding/media frenzy – superficial as it may seem – would eradicate negative feelings toward the Bush Administration and all of it’s mishandling, miscommunicating, just "missed" altogether 8/years?
No. Bush’s sudden death might bring his poll numbers up, bringing the troops home would help his polls too.

No, probably not. Actually, I don’t think most people have anything against Bush personally–they just don’t like him as president. Besides, if the wedding is next year, Bush will probably only have a few months left in office, and the elections will upstage the wedding.
Bush needs all the diversions he can find. It wouldn’t surprise me if he had this staged so attention would be diverted from all the fiascos going on in his administration.
