Why do democrats continuously put up presidential candidates that can’t win against easy wins?
It seems аѕ іf thе democrats continually рlасе up candidates thаt саn’t win despite thе fact thаt nο one іn thеіr rіght mind wουld vote fοr thе Republicans otherwise. Whу іѕ іt thаt whеn thе Repubican Party іѕ absolutely horrid thаt thе Democratic Party elects tο rυn candidates thаt don’t stand a chance іn $%@#$?
Amusing…..Obama is beating McCain in the polls. Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.
Because the like to pick the person who is the most to the left. Kerry was in 2004 and now obama is.
The voting machines are hackable.
‘Nuff said.
Amusing, Obama is beating McCain in polls that are conducted from 8 to 5 on business days, when the working class is, well, working…..
…Why would you assume that Barack Obama cannot beat McCain when current polls show that voters clearly favor him over McCain?
Dem’s never been to bright.
It seems that way to me too. I reckon most Democrats vote their principles. That is just not always a way to pick a well loved canidate.
excellent thing they do it that way
The power is in congress, not the white house. If they keep a republican as president, they can blame everything on him end up with more democrats in the house & senate. Every now & then, a democrat will be president & then the power changes in congress. It’s gone back & forth like that for years.
Also, none of the decent democrats are going to place themselves through the campaign & media circus. It just isn’t worth it when there’s no real power at the end of the tunnel
I have no thought where you’re getting your information, but you’re dead incorrect. Obama has an brilliant chance of beating McCain, and the polls reflect that. Once Hillary supporters come on board, he’s going to be the strong frontrunner.
The last election was a joke. That’s why they didn’t run Hillary last year. The U.S. was still punch drunk from the beating it took from 9/11 then the Iraq failure. Now that we regained our composure and see that Bush hit us with a cheap shot, they are running a young, racially mixed, well spoken, intelligent man who campaigned like Clinton except better. Sorry the straight talk express was derailed at the start of the primaries when the Republican pundits blasted McCain (where has Rush and Anne been………….helping Hillary?) and then he alienated all his independent voters (Me and everyone I know) when he took a b-line for the hard core conservative vote.
really the polls are run to 9:00 pm.
Lets wait for vp nominations then make comments
Because the democrats are the type of people who choose candidates will really make a difference and not just a pretty face with rhetorical nonsense and someone that writes speeches for them. See there are some people who have not really given up that this country can at least try to act in accordance with the wisdom and principles of the constitution and bill of rights.
This is your opinion.
Thats the best they have to offer.
And your mistaken if you honestly believe no one in their right mind would vote for a republican.
You must be some crazy liberal so let me tell you whats up.
Your people like to raise taxes and spend tax money on stupid things like the environment and they also want all the illegal aliens from mexico to come across the border. Obama would no doubt welcome every illegal alien because all he sees them as are votes for the democratic party.
Most Americans would rather see a republican in office.
Unfortunatly Mc Cain is basically a liberal dressed up as a republican. There are accually no ‘excellent’ canidates this election as far as I can see. Hilary and Obama both have extremely leftist views. Obama nearly seems like a communist with all these “fantastic” thoughts he has. The only reason he is still in this race is because the media has glorified him for being black. He also has no military experience so he would worthless to the war effort.
Excellent Day
Ryan
Because when all the people that reckon like you die the world will be a better place!
Don’t stand a chance?
Despite being scrutinized more than any candidate I can remember (the press didn’t even tell us Bush was a convicted criminal until just before the GE in 2000) Obama leads McCain (who has had a honeymoon with the press) in most polls.
Now that the battle between the Dems is seemingly over Obama’s numbers will just go up as the Dems unite behind him.
most credited polls have it tied or close. with all the publicity obama gets he should be infront by a few percent. Dems always lead early in them then get choked out in the end…
Because dems or dumb…
McCain 08
Historically, the democratic party has picked only two winners in the past 40 years. Jimmy Carter, who lost his re-election and Bill Clinton.
The problem with the democrats is that they choose liberal candidates in a country where many are moderates. This is why many became Reagan democrats, and why many former democrats are now independents. These are the voters who will probably choose this (as they have past) presidential election.
I don’t know, and I wish I did. It’s obvious to anyone who isn’t hynotized that had all this garbage come out about and from Obama – from his suspect close associations to his own ignorant comments about typical white people and small town Americans – even just five months ago he would never have gotten near the nomination. So now what we have is an unelectable candidate, again. The Democratic powers that be and the super delegates must know this. They are too worried of being called racists to do what they should do to ensure winning the election. It’s political blackmail, and this country is going to pay dearly for it. I’ll have no part in electing this man, and I know oh so many Democrats that feel exactly the same way. We should have been able to glide to victory in a year when people can’t wait to get Bush out of the White House. Instead we’re looking at a candidate that has alienated whole blocks of voters that the Democrats have to have to win the general. And those Democrats who hold their nose and vote for McCain will do so thinking that he must not be all that terrible, the conservative Republicans were furious that he got the nomination. Rationalization will win the day and we’ll be saying President McCain in January.
EDIT:
You have to get a kick out of those people who keep pointing to the polls showing Obama beats McCain. The general election contest hasn’t even really begun. Wait until the Republican Machine starts airing all those campaign ads starring Obama, Wright, and plenty of “God Damn America” clips. These people with their head in the clouds have a rude awakening coming their way. The Republicans managed to make a war hero look unAmerican, can you even imagine what they’re going to do to Obama with the ammunition he himself has handed them?
The Democratic party needs to get things straight if Obama runs they will loose. I work with with people who are life long democrats who have said that if Obama wins they are going to vote for McCain. Are we really going to hand over the election.
You need to revisit the facts:
Fact: Six out of the last eleven presidents have been democrats.
Fact: Democrats have held the majority in congress for forty out of the last fifty years.
Fact: The current speaker of the house and senate majority leader are both democrats.
Fact: The majority of elected judges in the US are democrats.
Fact: The majority of mayors and city councilmen in most major cities with populations over 3 million are democrats and have been for over 100 years.
Fact: Presidents Truman, Kennedy, Carter and Clinton, all democrats, were predicted losers by all of the polls when they first started their campaigns. Obama is really running even with McCain right now.
If the economy worsens, Obama is a shoe in. Even if the economy doesn’t worsen, he still has a real chance of winning.
because political correctness is more vital to dems than winning elections…they still haven’t forgiven bill clinton for winning two by being a centrist. the ‘jane fonda/ted kennedy left wing’ has completely taken over the party
(edit)
truman, kennedy, clinton, and carter all ran as centrists…carter turned out to really be as liberal as the republicans said he was…which is why he was voted out in ’80…the dems have lost 7 of the last 10 elections
