I am afraid that the clean-up may take more than 20 Billion and that this escrow account will be used to say they don’t have to pay anymore. The full amount doesn’t have to be paid all at once, 5 Billion a quarter that should be doable. I think it needs to be made clear that if the clean-up takes more than 20 Billion they are still responsible.
BP makes enough money from us on the road. The HELL they don’t have that money. Damn strait they should paid that. As for eliminating the dependence on fossil fuels, ideas were given, and they’ve all been turned down. Granted the whole corn thing probably isn’t going to cover the needs by far.

He is not “protecting” BP. He is just stating the facts. If BP puts up a huge escrow not managed or controlled by them, they are likely not able to pay other claims.
