did barack obama seem a little petrified when speaking to general petraeus?
he is seeming to realize how nuanced the situation in iraq actually is. at one point he was saying he would remove all troops within one year, but now in the past month he is saying that he will only remove some, while leaving a major strike force against al qaeda and enough troops to defend the US embassy…….
He told Gen. David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker that everybody wants a “successful resolution” and that nobody was demanding a “precipitous withdrawal” of our troops. He also seemed to be seeking a way of defining limited victory rather than sticking with his vow of a rapid retreat.

Petrified? Hardly. If anyone was “petrified” it was Betrayus himself–especially when he couldn’t answer some questions with a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer.
No, not at all. Although I was a little disappointed when he didn’t press Patraeus any harder to give him real and complete answers.
He did not have his promt card in front of him nor a speach writer for the questions he was trying to ask.
Seemed more like the opposite! It looked like Petraeus seemed way uncomfortable!
It was like watching a twelve year old trying to look grown up so the big guys will let him play ball with them.
It’s tough with the eyes of the world on you, whether you’re a General or a junior Senator. I did notice he looked a little sheepish. But then how would you or I do?
