Will conservative Christians refrain from voting because of the way Cindy McCain achieved her wealth?
I am not really into politics, but my husband is. He has heard some grumblings in our area … most of the conservative Christians are uncomfortable that Cindy McCain’s father was a beer distributor — and some of them are not going to vote in this election because of that fact. Do any of you feel the same way, and have you heard anything similar to this in your area? Just wondering.
They will pray about it then vote against the evil black man. Lighten up. I’m joking!
Considering the number of immigrants of German ancestry in this country that premise is highly doubtful. We’re talking about Christianity, not Islam. Also, a conservative votes on common principles and ideals not genitalia or skin color. Do you know who JC Watts is and what conservative district he represented in one of the most conservative states in the country?
Hmmm.. as I recall, His first miracle was to provide wine to a wedding that was running dry. So He was, technically, a liquor distributor.
If this is the case. I think that is a very horrible reason to not vote. Though less of those right wing fundamentalists at the voting booths. The better for this country.
I think Michele taking her kids to a radical church with a preacher who says “God Damn America”might be a turn off.
I would hope they will be more concerned about Obama’s association with his hateful and racist pastor, Reverend Wright. Oh, and maybe they’ll think about Obama legitimizing a known killer and terrorist, by associating with him. That’s right, Bill Ayers – the guy who wishes he had killed more people.

It doesn’t work that way, That is a stereotype. There are some that do abstain, but there are many that don’t. It is not a biblical standard. Our pastors speaks of being moderate in all things, it is the lack of self discipline that is the problem with some drinkers.
Conservative Christians will still vote for McCain. They will vote for the pro-life candidate without fail. Even if Cindy’s wealth is due to her family’s sale of alcohol. Abortion is a bigger issue to them.
If it comes down to the candidate who votes for killing babies or the candidate who’s wife’s father sold beer, it’s pretty clear who has the moral upper hand. Anyone who votes against McCain for that reason is a fool.
Yes i have heard some of my elder neighbors saying that they won’t vote for mccain because of his wifes wealth from beer.They probably won’t vote for obama either but i wish they would as we the U.S.A. are in deep doop’ and need a change badly’ and i think Obama can get us there.
