How do Canadians feel about the new Conservative majority?
Thе Conservative party јυѕt won 54% οf seats іn thе general election, bυt received less thаn 40% οf thе well lονеd vote. Thаt іѕ, 60% οf voters dіd nοt vote fοr thе majority government. Hοw dο уου feel аbουt thіѕ?
I reckon its time for electoral reform. Federal elections should be chose by well loved vote to ensure proper and honest representation. Its absurd that a party can capture 10 or 20 percent of the well loved vote, yet not gain a single seat in the HoC.
That being said, as much as I despise most politicians and their tactics it will be nice to not have to really worry about politics in Canada for another 4 years. I despise the Conservatives and their tactics, but I can handle them running things for a while until another party can man up an field a real leader that all Canadians can get behind.
