New Jersey Governor Chris Christie endorses Tom Emmer for governor of Minnesota.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie sat down with NBC’s Brian Williams for an interview to air on Thursday’s NBC Nightly News. Christie, a Republican, said he was disappointed that Obama has been “incredibly partisan.” As Christie said, “When you’re president, your obligation — I think — is to set the tone and to embarrass the others into changing theirs. And I’ve been disappointed in the real partisan tone the president has taken, both in terms of his policies and in terms of his rhetoric. And now, he seems kind of angry about things when I see him out on the campaign trail. And I don’t think that President Obama does angry well. I don’t think that suits him well… … I think [Obama] promised to be something very different. He promised to be post partisan. And he really hasn’t been.”

How can Republicans take them seriously when they refuse to act like idiots and drama queens over an entirely non-controversial issue? Have they blown their chance at ever getting the Republican nomination for president?

Huckabee:

“What Michelle Obama is proposing is not that the government tells you that you can’t eat dessert,” Mr. Huckabee said. Rather, the first lady wants Americans “to recognize that we have a serious obesity crisis–which we do,” Mr. Huckabee said.

Christie:

Mr. Christie, appearing on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” said criticism of the first lady’s campaign is “unnecessary.” “I think it’s a really good goal to encourage kids to eat better,” said the New Jersey governor, who has spoken about his own girth. “I struggled with my weight for 30 years,” Mr. Christie said Sunday. “If a kid can avoid that…more power to them and I think the first lady is speaking out well.”

Christie’s recent comments to a senior 76 yr old lady to “get the bats out” most New Jersey folks thought was rather unprofessional and very unbecoming of a Governor. Governor Christie is also morbidly obese, some have estimated in excess of 400lbs. Both his statements and his physical appearance have lead some to question whether he has any self control whatsoever?

Others have said he would be great as a speaker on obesity issues, in the mold of Bristol Palin on abstinence. While Bristol wasn’t abstinent her choice to have unprotected sex and then a baby show younger teens what can happen when you don’t use birth control. Could Christie do the same with obesity and show people what a little lack of self control with eating can do to a person?

Bristol even made it to dancing with the Stars, perhaps Christie can show us his willpower on the Biggest Loser, gaining back some credibility on self control at the same time?

• More funding for welfare, adult medical day care, home-care services, education services for the blind, and various other programs for vulnerable residents.

• Funding for cultural sites including the Battleship New Jersey and the Newark Museum.

• More funding for projects in Urban Enterprise Zones.

Now that we know he is increasing welfare why is he cutting unemployment and destroying the unions.

If you ask me Christie and the Republicans lied to us Conservatives. They have betrayed us and now they are increasing welfare. If you believe they will stop illegal aliens then wake up and do some search online. Find out the truth they want illegal aliens.
Me he is increasing welfare. He is doing exactly what Corzine did and he is making people go on unemployment. He is waging war on the middle class.

If you are on welfare you get free housing, gas and electric which is extremely expensive. Don’t forget the free food and when it comes to clothes they qualify for free clothing from department stores like walmart.

They still get money to spend from welfare. They get it all and then some. Now they get free cell phones. I don’t even have a cell phone or health care and they do.

I pay almost 20 thousand dollars in taxes per year. I have nothing and I am broke.

He would stand up to those greedy unions and get the job done like he is doing in NJ.
