Why do Bobby Jindal and Rush Limbaugh want the US President to fail?
If Obama totally fails and our country plunges into a horrible depression, wouldn’t that be a dream come true for Republicans? I know it’s politically incorrect, but don’t the voters need to suffer big time as punishment for electing Obama? I think it’s wise of Jindal and Limbaugh to hope the leader of the USA totally fails (doesn’t Al Qaeda wish the same?).
rush is an american….all americans think the same way… if they think other wise then you know they are not americans.

In Limbaugh’s case, he is an entertainer after ratings. In Jindal’s case, he is simply doing as told by a bankrupt right wing that thinks they can win with the old rhetoric.
Obama’s plan is National socialism.
If Obama’s plan succeeds, then the nation fails.
If Obama’s plan fails, then the nation succeeds.
I, too, hope Obama’s plan of Nation Socialism fails.
Obama can only “succeed” by starting a major war to pay the bills.

Remember – FDRs spending is actually what threw us into depression, and we didn’t get out of it until the 1940s with WW2.

They want his policy’s to fail not the country or the economy, just like the the Dems wanted Bushes policy’s to fail. Fail meaning they don’t get passed.

What he said was: He does not agree with the policies that President Obama is pushing and does want them to fail because it would mean the end of the country as we know it.
How is his wish for Obama to fail any different than the liberals wish for Bush to fail in the war? It is the same thing. It is a difference of ideology and wanting the other side to fail because we both think we have the best answer for the direction of the country. The difference is that the left vilifies the right. Another person who misses the point. I thought liberals were suppose to be intelligent. Rush stated he wanted Obama’s policies to fail.
Why do so many liberals think that if Obama’s succeeds in getting his policies in place that the country will succeed? Obama can succeed, yet fail the country. He might have done more good, by not doing anything.
I’m not sure why you can’t see this difference. In two years we might be wishing this stimulus bill was never passed and asking ourselves why we didn’t listen to those who questioned the bill. In a way its like why didn’t we listen to those who questioned going into Iraq. Everyone was sure it was the right thing to do, if you questioned it people looked down on you. Now the same thing is happening and liberals are too dumb to see it.

Limbaugh is a little out there, but comparing him and Jindal to Al Qaeda is a little extreme. That would be like me comparing Obama and Pelosi to Stalin, who was a liberal as well (communism is a liberal philosophy).
It’s political. If he is at the head of the government when things get worse because of those policies, then Obama will and should take the heat for implementing such stupidity, and hopefully be elected out of office if the failure is spectacular enough.
It’s the same reason that liberals wanted Bush to fail during his presidency.

Obama can fail without the country going into deep recession, and given his current course of action it looks like that just might happen.
For many Republicans, it’s opportunism. I think there are limits. They don’t want everybody in the U.S. to die. They don’t want us taken over by some foreign power. But they do want things to go badly enough, that they can say “I told you so,” and become the majority party once again.
That being said, I doubt that Limbaugh really wants the Republicans back in power. Same goes for Fox News. Those folks earn their livelihood as political critics. If there were a true conservative in office, they’d have little to criticize, and their ratings would drop.
(Of course it works both ways. You may have noticed that Jon Stewart and Bill Maher are less funny, now that Bush is gone.)

Look at it this way…if he succeeds then that means capitalism/free enterpise and personal responsibility, two bedrocks of what has made america great (and different) will be largely swept away, replaced with a nanny state mentality and a socialist state.
