   I am pleased that Virginia got a fantastic governor. he is a God fearing man and is not worried to challenge the federal government. I hope that us New Mexicans can get the same in November.

    It’ laws of equality that we support. “We,” as individuals, have a fundamental right to choose who we like & who we live with. What I would prefer to see, and hope the pro-gay marriage movement pursues, is removal of marriage from the state Constitution entirely, replacing it with civil unions. Leave it up to the ministers to choose if they want to perform the ceremonies. Also I find the argument against gay marriage ludicrous. We’re in 2 wars, the world is upside down, and people are dying.

    Liberals don’t support immoral things -we support separation of church/state, laws of equality, etc. We do not inject our religion into politics as the Bible tells us not to do. 2 men together is considered a sin to God, yes, but we’re all sinners and 1 sin is just as fantastic to God than the next.

    Catholic? Bob McDonnell’ political views were shaped by radical right-wing beliefs (those of Christian Reconstruction). Christian reconstruction is a mark for a small group of conservative Christians who advocate ‘reconstructing’ society to conform with biblical law. I’m a Christian but faith convictions need to be held in tension w/the separation of church & state, laws of equality, & religious diversity. McDonnell’s thesis does not support any of these & Virginians voted him in??!!

    i dont agree with spending but this country has been spending since i can remember, in this case, if we dont maybe more than 10% would be out of work, it would have been 20%, so if it saves people from bein homeless and bein able to feed their families, ill pay the damn taxes for now, what is the alternative, we have been screwed by uncle sam for decades, now people r all up in arms, why now, y not n 04/05/06/07, thats when we spent for no reason and alot of it

    its a psychological win but still a win, hopefully he can serve the people better than what they had, i said that b/c the dems picked up another seat in congress, and thats a victory, but the country needs cooperation not division, if dems act stupid this term, ill vote for the other way, i vote for the person, not the party

    Right. People are too quick to assume that the “R” after a candidate’s name means “Racist,” or that the “D” stands for “Damn Communist.” (OK, in some cases those rules do apply).
