Do most politicians deliver on their campaign promises?
Like every other president, he won’t be able to accomplish everything he promised. However, he knows what his weaknesses are and has picked intelligent cabinet members to compensate, so I think he will get a lot done.
I don’t believe Obama can deliver anything but the McSame he campaigned against. In other words, he lied.
Can he? Yes. Will he….?
no hands up at my house….
We would need about 150 trillion for all the give aways he promised
No. They always lie. The only difference this time is I’m not holding out any hope.
Too many things promised, He will have to pick and choose with the help of Pelosi and Reid as to the ones he can make good on.
Of course he can’t! To even try he’d have to tax us into oblivion, and universal health care isn’t important enough to me to have to pay one dollar more than I absolutely have to.
Sorry but it looks like the sos, he may raise some taxes but don’t know if he will do that, since he has stated he is going to leave the estate tax deal alone and I sure thought they would jump on that. That said he may get the IRS to audit everyone of those estates and in that way pull in close to a trillion over the last 20 years, but I am not really thinking there wil be much change. nothing personal, but he is a politician and friends that voted for him are already miffed. Take care.
I think he might not be able to deliver on everything he said.Yet I also believe he’ll do as much as he can.
BTW—Bush ignored national security until after we were attacked.
I sure don’t! I didn’t believe it then, and I don’t believe it now.
He crusaded on the promise that he was going to increase taxes on the wealthy. Now he has decided to wait until 2010.
I mean, this is great news to me, but to the people whom he promised this, they’ll be upset. Or maybe they stopped paying attention to the news after the whole bandwagon pre-election party was going on. Ignorance is not bliss.
He did not promise anything. He just robotically droned: hope, change, hope, change. I HOPE he knows how to CHANGE his diaper, after he gets a reality check on January 21st, I fear he may start quaking in his boots, and SH*T himself.
I think he can deliver on most of what he said. He is already making the necessary steps to be successful in office. He is putting together a pretty impressive cabinet. If you think Bush did a good job, then you will be impressed when Obama is finished. Bush did absolutely nothing good. The only thing I will even give Bush credit for was the response after 9/11. Besides that he did nothing remotely right.
its impossible for barrack obama to fulfill all his promises and he knows it, we know it, and hes been telling us ever since he won the election that its not going to happen, and hes been hinting it and saying it directly, but now that its been a while, he has not given any indication that he can deliver on any promise what so ever
Politicians lie their faces off to get elected. Obama is no different.
And now Hillary Clinton has to go before a Liberal Senate to get confirmation as Secretary of State. Hmmm….wonder how that will turn out?!
lets just hope he DOESN’T deliver on what he promises.
Maybe Obama should start saving the world by helping his brother that lives on $12/yr?
Obama can’t even spare some “change” for his brother!
Can he actually deliver on all of his promises, no. No President can deliver all his promises. All a President can do is work with Congress to get some of those promises enacted. But there will be roadblocks around every corner. Terrorist attacks, natural disasters either here or in some part of the world, a political crisis. All of these can put a halt to some of the things any president wants to accomplish. Obama is open minded and when he becomes the President will be able to adjust to these changes as they come, unlike some of our past presidents which couldn’t see beyond their blinders.
We can only hope that Obama will be able to accomplish some of the more important aspect of his campaign promises beginning with improving our economy.
not even obama believes he can deliver…he’s got his entire cult fooled
College life was a great experience. And yes, once you get into college, you quickly forget about high school.
I used my Ivy connections to get jobs in the past. But since the economy is bad right now it is very difficult for everyone. My friend has a Ph.D. from Stanford, and she has been looking for a job for 5 months.
Maybe you should apply to Berkley.
