Firstly, it’s highly unlikely that the Mayans attached any ‘doomsday’ prophecy to their calendar . Secondly, there’s no link of any relevance or import whatsoever.

The only one I can think of is that Obama is the 44th President, and the Muslim Book “Quran” describes a major cataclysmic event occurring “the smoke” in chapter 44.
Also, the verse which this prophecy occurs is verse # 11 which is a) the exact time the winter solsctice will take place at exactly 11:11 (UTC time) and b) is the sum of the digits of the winter solsctice date 21-12-2012 = 3-3-5 = 11.
