What does Barack Obama’s election mean for America?
Ever since the election of President-elect Obama, I have wondered, why do so many people like this guy? What is it about his plans for our government that appeal to people? Please tell me your opinions on why Barack Obama will or will not make a good president.

I hope it means taking steps to get the country back on track. It will certainly mean a different point of view in the oval office.
I am amused the the knee jerk Right wingers who persist in their baseless claims. Obama won and its his vision for the country that will determine much of the next few years.
Hopefully a better job than the last President.

To me I just hope that alot of the blacks I know don’t become more prejudice. I am one of the most unprejudice people I know and have ran into alot of prejudice. Some may claim I am prejudice but if you have experienced what I have you would be Leary also. I’m also leary of some white folks for other reasons.
For the record I respect Condoleezza Rice more then Obama. I think she has set a excellent example for blacks.
It means illegal aliens can now run this country and the US Constitution is no longer important.

It is not about wondering, appealing, liking, opinions.
It is about the truth, facts and reality.
You live in a world of unreality, of no facts, no truths, thus you don’t know why Obama is appreciated in this county.
You don’t read the paper, so you don’t know that Bush just lowered the regulation of lead in the air. You also don’t know that lead causes brain damage and high blood pressure in humans. The reality is that Bush is a sociopath and sells out our children and the ill to the big corporations because they think it is too expense to reduce the amount of lead in the Air.
Now, multiply by that every chemical out there. Now multiply by that by every act that corporations make to endangers people’s lives through shoddy products, waste management, inefficient energy use, from making bubble gum to bombs from Nixon’s support of Chilean takeover in the 60′s and the installation of torture and fascism and free markets to the recent melting of the North Pole. In every conceivable shape or form, of every scandal of the month – including the kidnapping of terror suspects’ children to the exposing of CIA agents, – the Republicans have defiled and spread destruction and chaos throughout this land.
Now, you and I are nothing. You don’t care about me, you probably have stopped reading this, because you don’t live in reality. You don’t read the papers. If you are a normal Republican you only post questions to re-affirm your opinions and fantasies. You will find that none of your ideas can be backed up with the truth, and hence expose none of them here. Your missions is to repeat vague, meaningless analogies and nonsensical garbage and ignore the facts. And you will do so regardless of the fact that others ask exactly the same questions, learning absolutely nothing from the answers.
Today we know the economy is at a standstill, that it cannot escape 8 years of Republican rule, of a policy of free markets and deregulation, and millions dead. And yet you have the nerve to ask why people like the alternative. I would urge you to educate yourself. Read the paper. Read the scandals. Read a book. Don’t just look in the mirror and ask how intelligent you are.

Why did they vote for Obama? Because he’s a black democrat. The exact opposite of W. Many, many United States citizens don’t watch any news program. They watch sit-coms, and sports channels and have NO clue what any canidate stands for. But CHANGE sounds good.What the hell, I’ll vote for him. Get me another beer, the giants are coming on. That’s how Clinton got elected.
I don’t think he’ll be a good president because of his Socialist views. The American citizen is a Capitalist. If we work for it, we want it to be ours. Obama wants it to be someone elses.
