Gerald Celente on Obama’s budget: “They’re bankrupting the country!”
The new US budget was revealed by President Obama calling for America to rebalance the global economy, stressing that the US cannot rely on foreign governments to finance domestic consumption. However, many point to Obama’s inability to rein in spending, including Gerald Celente. He says the future will be more of the same; it’s going to be more debt and placing the burden on the American people.

@cowgillmonkey – Well she said countries but maybe she meant military bases. I agree with you. Cut military spending and bring them home. The military should only be for defense, not for trying to rule the world. If you would put the US on a monetary gold standard there would be no way to wage a war like this without raising taxes. That would put the breaks on this crazy warmongering as it always has in history when the kings ran out of gold. Also wind down the so called “welfare state”.
@runarolsen she meant 1000 military bases. Actually, there are almost 1100 US military bases around the world – with plans for more. Wouldnt it be better to cut the spending, pull those troops out, and bring them home. Maybe we should concentrate on guarding our own country. I dont think the US should police the world for political and financial gain.

RBE is what it needs to come to..but like Jacque Fresco said you can’t jump from capitalism to a RBE in one step..but taking those steps towards it will be a heck of a lot better then the way this corrupt system is heading anyways..

You were doing fine on the budget magnitude comparisons until you compared it to the hugely overvalued, dot com era fantasy valuations of Facebook and Twitter, amounts which most people don’t know anyway. Whose idiotic idea was it to compare an incomprehensible amount to obscure over-valuations which most people don’t even know?

The US occupies 1000 countries?! Really? Quite a feat considering there are only 195 countries in the world (196 if South Sudan becomes independent in July this year) and 192 countries in the UN.

this country is not going bankrupt. the U.S. has been bankrupt for almost 20 years. refer to Executive order number 12803 title 3 ,section1(b).
