Is there anyone smarter than Chris Christie?
The guy has the balls to take on the unions and basically say we need to get rid of collective bargaining. FYI, collective bargaining is synonymous with extortion. The unions are nothing more than extortionist groups that try to dictate policy on what they believe are fair wages and benefits. When I go for a job interview, they tell me what the pay scale is and what the benefits are. When someone who is represented by a union goes for a job interview, the “company” doing the hiring understands that they have to pay a certain wage and benefits to the potential employee. Its kind of like the tail wagging the dog.
EVERY UNION IN THIS COUNTRY needs to be dismantled. They are nothing more than extortionist groups that will threaten a strike if they dont get their way. Anyone who supports a union should be fired on the spot and arrested for tresspassing if they dont leave. In this economy there are MORE than enough people who are willing to take the job for a fair wage.
@Little Glen:
I agree and dont like either one of those 2 things he did but the guy tells it like it is. Most politicians know how to say “fuckkk youuu” with a smile and that is what makes them politicians. Christie understands we are broke and we need to start making cuts now. Its funny that the only people complaining are the ones with entitlement programs.
Maybe, but nobody is fatter.
If the majority of workers in an industry feel they have no voice and can easily be taken advantage of then there will always be unions.
You may not believe that unions should be necessary but neither should unfair advantage by management. If there a laws to protect workers and they are enforced then unions will just fade away naturally.
I agree, but plz don’t dismiss the fact that he appointed a radical muslim judge to the courts.
Plz don’t forget,. that he gave the green light to the mosque at ground zero.
Yes, many are, but many do not have the guts to say it like it is. What makes Chris Christie appear smarter is that he has courage to tell it like it is.
Kermit the frog.
He’s not backing down which is why I like him. Unions are obsolete today and you’re right, they are nothing more than extortionists.
I greatly like Chris Christie, and agree with the majority of his policy making. There are few politicians so forthright, and blunt. He is a boon to New Jersey, will continue to be in future years.
I don’t agree however, with the complete dismantling of unions. They serve a purpose to protect workers. Having personally worked in the past in unsafe conditions, I realize their necessity. But, I do agree union power has grown to unacceptable levels. When public service unions have better pay and benefits than the people they serve, there needs to be some adjustments made. As you imply, there should be a major slap-down.
