Is there any way I can vote in the 2012 presidential election?
it REALLYYY sucks
because im 14 right now and my birthday is november 12th
and i heard presidential election day is november 8th?
ugh im really unfortunate.
is there any exception?
or do i have the election date wrong?
HOPEfully your a democrat who can’t vote. XD
The date is wrong but it will be November 6, 2012 which will not be any better for you. Sorry.
You can still campaign for your favorite candidate….you simply won’t be able to vote for him/her.
Call ACORN they could have gotten you in on this one.
Figure it out, if you aren’t 18 by the day of elections you are not eligible. The exceptions? Well if ACORN is involved in that election also you won’t have any trouble!
Many states require that you fill out a voter registration form and have it turned it around a month before the election, so you probably won’t be able to even if the date comes after your birthday.
My bday is also nov. 12, and I had to wait until I was almost 19 the first time I was able to vote.
Election day is the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. So in 2012, election day will be November 6. Looks like you’re out of luck, and no, they don’t make exceptions.
Sorry–you’ll just miss it. Bummer. But, register to vote as soon as you’re 18, and then you can vote the following year. It won’t be for anything as exciting as the President, but, really, the local elections affect your life more directly.
Yo, Ron Paul. If you’re so smart, you’d know that it’s “you’re” when you mean “you are.”
Election day would never be the 12th, if November 8 is the Tuesday after the first Monday then that’s correct. As far as I know you’re not even allowed to register to vote until you’re 18 so I’d say you’re probably out of luck.
You have to be 18 years of age before November 4th or the appropriate date of voting.
