Question for independents only: Would you ever knowingly voter for a Democrat or a Republican? Explain why or why not.

The Democrats that got elected based on the ending the Iraq War and pulling the troops out of the Middle East, have a rating that is below that of President Bush. Why would you vote for a Democrat who is running on the same premise?

"Moderate" Voters don’t have a major political party since we are ran by a two party system. And I’m starting to believe that there really isn’t a difference between a Republican who is pro-life and supports gay marriage and a Democrat who is fiscally conservative like the Blue Dog Coalition in the House.

If there isn’t really any difference and if Americans are increasingly progressive in social issues yet economically responsible (since our debt is so high), is the line between Democrat and Republican not very big?

Just so you know I am a moderate democrat. I do not agree with health care or anything socialist like that.

One of the most compelling images of the Civil Rights movements was of demonstrators being attacked with fire hoses and police attack dogs in Alabama in 1963. Many blacks switched to the Democrat party in 1964.

The attack was ordered by Public Safety Commissioner Bull Connor.

Why did everybody forget that Bull Connor was a life-long DEMOCRAT????

He lived until 1973. He NEVER joined the Republican party.

I never can understand why the Jewish voters nearly 100% vote Democrat when it’s always the Republicans that are there to protect Israel. Anyone else remember Hillary’s comments a few years ago about Palestine?

Flip Flop You must not remember why the Republicans took control of Congress during Clintons first term. This is also the same reason the Democrats retook the Congress last midterm. One party rule leads to corruption. I am just calling a spade a spade!
