On Monday, President Bush lifted an executive order banning offshore drilling.
On Tuesday the price of a barrel fell .44.
On Wednesday it fell .14.
On Thursday it fell .31.
Today it is down 41 cents.
The Executive Branch is doing its job, but what is the Democrat-controlled Congress doing to ease the burden of high gasoline prices on the American people?

Has this been done before? I thought they needed both republican and democrat vote – . Why don’t they use the republican vote alone – then it won’t pass.

40 million uninsured Americans? You can’t really think that is true. From what i’ve learned is that they are not against reforming health care, just against they way the Democrat’s are trying to do it which will ultimately hurt more Americans than they are helping. Let’s say I’m a democrat stuck living in a small conservative town in Kansas. It I vote for Obama, does my vote really even matter? If the majority of the state / county votes republican, doesn’t the whole state’s votes go for the republican candidate? Explain how this works please!
